New shirts for sale! We still have lots of shirts to press before our new logo is introduced when the new LP comes out this year with your help. Rory and I decided to use specifically rich colors for this most recent pressing. Red, Vibrant Pink, Pale Blue, and Black. We have them for sale in our Etsy shop for $20 each + discounted shipping cost to wherever you live. Also if you have a favorite item of clothing, old or new- we can print our 'Marcella & Her Lovers Memphis, TN' logo design on it! You just bring your favorite item of clothing to any of our shows and for $25 we will screen print our 'Marcella & Her Lovers Memphis, TN' logo design onto the item and ship it to you in the mail as a new, unique piece of clothing with our band's name on it! Show ya love for Marcella & Her Lovers. We have the capability to screen print this logo on tote bags, pants, backpacks, and just about any item of clothing that is within the logo dimensions of 8 x 5in ! Marcella returns to Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise in Jan 2017

Marcella is honored to be joining the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise #28 traveling to the Eastern Carribean January 22-29 2017. She will be playing in the Billboard Piano Lounge on the MS Koningsdam, Holland America Line ship multiple nights throughout the 7 day voyage and sitting in with her father and his ensemble Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience. 

The lineup is stellar this trip as always featuring Irma Thomas, Taj Mahal, The Lowrider Band, and so many more. There will be 36 acts in total and special guests. The ship will have 6 venues. See the lineup in it's entirety and more about the cruise here

Southern Living magazine & IKEA USA present Meet Me in Memphis: Marcella & Her Lovers

Tonight we play IKEA & Southern Living magazine's Meet Me in Memphis: Battle of the Bands event at Lafayette's Music Room. The event is from 6-9PM and will feature (in order of performances) The Band Camino, Marcella & Her Lovers and J Buck. We are really excited to perform and meet and listen to the other performers tonight! Here's the original link to the Southern Living post on their site.

Marcella nominated for USArtists Fellowship award

In March of this year (2016), Marcella was nominated for a United States Artists Fellowship which (if selected) awards $50,000 to each individual nominated artist to use as they see fit for their career. Only 500 professional artists in the United States of America were nominated. Nominees submitted applications in Spring 2016 and the recipients were announced in early November. 

45 artists ranging across all disciplines (music, visual art, dance, literature, etc.) were each awarded the $50,000 grant. Marcella was extremely honored to be nominated and considered. 

We want to congratulate all the recipients in all fields; what a wonderful opportunity and experience! Marcella was so honored to just be a part of it and be nominated.  Read more about USArtists here

Marcella's "We Rewind" official selection and nomination at Indie Memphis Film Festival 2016
